Helitech Duxford has long been established as the leading show in the rotary wing market outside the USA.
The event was launched in 1986 alongside Offshore Europe in Aberdeen before moving to run as a stand alone event at Redhill in 1987. Helitech stayed at Redhill until it moved to its current home at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford in 2001. IThis This year Helitech is proud to be celebrating 25 years of supporting the rotary industry.
Helitech Duxford attracts attendees from around the world. In 2011 the show, celebrating 25 years of supporting the rotary industry, attracted almost 4,000 attendees from 59 countries representing sectors from across the rotary industry. These attendees included personnel from the emergency services, military, parts manufacturers and distributors, and maintenance providers.
The Helitech brand continues to go from strength to strength, the 2011 show in the UK proving to be the most successful in recent history. A number of new features were introduced for the anniversary year including more content with the launch of the Helitech Conference, 40 aircrafts in our static display and 200 exhibitors showcasing their latest products. Exhibitors and visitors were also treated to a surprise visit from the local Apache team and a display by the Spitfire and Mi based on the airfield at Duxford.
2011 also saw the creation of our Steering Committee which brings together representatives from across the industry to provide feedback and support in developing the show to insure we are meeting the needs of the industry we serve.
We are now looking forward to the future with Helitech Duxford taking place 24-26 September 2013.
