About Helitech

Helitech has long been established as the leading show in the rotary wing market in Europe. Following feedback from our exhibitors, visitors and key industry associations the show is evolving into a truly international event. By moving the event into a world class permanent venue based in a major city the show will provide greater accessibility for visitors and exhibitors from major markets around the world, making Helitech International the leading rotary wing industry event outside the USA.

History of the Show

Helitech was launched in 1986 alongside Offshore Europe in Aberdeen before moving to run as a standalone, biennial event at Redhill in 1987. In 2001 the show relocated to Duxford airfield, alongside the Imperial War Museum. In 2011 the show proudly celebrated 25 years of supporting the rotary industry.

A number of new features were introduced for the anniversary year. This included more content with the introduction of the conference programme, 40 aircrafts in the static display and 200 exhibitors showcasing their latest products. Exhibitors and visitors were also treated to a surprise visit from the local Apache team and a display by the Spitfire and Messerschmitt based on the airfield.

The 2011 show attracted almost 4,000 attendees from 59 countries representing sectors from across the rotary industry. These attendees included personnel from the emergency services, military, parts manufacturers and distributors, and maintenance providers.

This is the legacy we will be building on for Helitech International.

Looking to the Future

In order to create a truly international event we have implemented a number of changes, the first of which was to change the show name to Helitech International Expo and Conference. This development better reflects the wider international focus and greater emphasis on conference content.

The event will now be held annually, with 2013 confirmed as ExCeL London and the 2014 edition to be held in Berlin. The location in world class, permanent venues offer a greater platform for new launches and product showcases.

The major city locations offer a wealth of networking and entertaining opportunities with outstanding travel links both locally and internationally.

The new expanded conference programme will appeal to all elements of the supply chain, further enhancing the appeal of this important event.

We look forward to welcoming you to Helitech International, 24-26 September 2013 at ExCeL London.
