Mr Peter Norton
Peter Norton joined the BHA as Chief Executive in 2005. A former pilot in the Royal Air Force, Peter operated as a search and rescue captain in Cyprus and the UK for five years before accepting an exchange posting to the Army Air Corps as an anti-tank pilot on the Scout AH1. Following this, he spent the remainder of his military service as a support helicopter pilot operating the Puma HC1 and Chinook HC1 worldwide.
Peter gained a commercial license on leaving the service and flew the S61 and AS332L on offshore hydrocarbon operations out of Aberdeen where he held management positions. He spent more than three years in Oman as an AS332C/330J pilot on the Royal Flight and latterly ran the flight operations for two fixed-wing freight companies.
