The G500H is a glass avionics system designed specifically for VFR part 27 helicopters and has Helicopter Synthetic Vision Technology (HSVT™) and helicopter-specific databases, including additional low-altitude obstacles. Also announced is a new Helicopter Terrain Awareness and Warning System (HTAWS) for the GNS 430W & 530W navigation products. Garmin’s HTAWS provides graphical and audible alerts of potential terrain and obstacle conflicts along the user’s flight path.
